Phenix City, Alabama. . .Thomas Jefferson Davis, a resident of Phenix City, Alabama, died early Wednesday morning, June 1, 2022, at his home. He was 78.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. (CDT) Friday, June 3, 2022, in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, near Abbeville, Alabama, with Reverend George Bryan officiating. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 PM (CDT) at the mortuary in Abbeville.

Mr. Davis was born and reared in Moundville, Alabama, son of the late Curtis Daniel Davis and Arvella Hill Davis. He lived most of his lifetime in Seale, Alabama before moving to Phenix City. Mr. Davis was retired from Columbus Foundries as a maintenance mechanic. In earlier years, he was employed by Reeves Asphalt Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Nell Barnett Davis.

Surviving relatives include a son, Thomas Reece Davis (Julie), Phenix City; a brother, Robert Curtis “Sonny” Davis (Edwina), Indialantic, FL; A brother- in- law, Robin Barnett (Kim), Headland, AL; Several nieces and nephews.
