Thomas Jefferson Smith of Geneva passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at his residence. He was 77.

Memorialization will be by cremation.

Mr. Smith was born on November 18, 1938 in Geneva County to the late Lewis and Mertie Baker Smith.  He retired from the United States Navy and also retired from Ft. Rucker working as an avionics technician.

In addition to his parents, five brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.

Survivors include two sons, Jeff Smith and Tommy Smith, both of Geneva; one daughter, Michelle “Missy” Smith Simerly (Rob) of AK; five grandchildren, Shaley Smith, Alana Morris, Brittney Simerly Pekala, Allexys Simerly and Kaitlynn Blaze; four sisters, Kathleen Hughes of Headland, Betty Parker of Troy, Erma Riley (Ken) of Abbeville and Barbara Hogan of Eufaula.
