ABBEVILLE. . .Timothy Scott “Tim” Ellsworth, a resident of Abbeville, died late Tuesday night, September 26, 2023, at his home. He was 67.

            The are no memorial or funeral services planned at this time. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

            Tim Ellsworth was born in Canton, Illinois but was raised in the Tampa Bay area and Moline, Illinois.  He received a BS Degree in Environmental Science from the University of Alabama in 2011. Tim lived in various locations while working with nuclear power plants and moved to Lake Eufaula in Henry County, Alabama in 2021. He  retired from the City of Phoenix in Arizona as Senior Industrial Inspector with the Water Services Department in storm water management. In earlier years, Tim was employed with several nuclear plants in Alabama, Kansas, North Carolina and Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Lee Ellsworth and Betty Joan Farley Ellsworth and a brother, Donald Todd Ellsworth.

            Surviving relatives include his wife, Sheila Oliver Ellsworth, a daughter, Elizabeth Desmet (Chet), Moline, Illinois; a son, Jeffrey Ellsworth (Tracee), Spanish Fort, Alabama; a brother, Steve Ellsworth; four grandchildren, Emily Soricelli, Evan Soricelli, Connor Ellsworth and Ashlyn Desmet.
