Tommy Burkett of Level Plains, AL passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2019. He was 50 years old.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with the Rev. Terry Smith officating. Burial will follow in Paxton City Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Tommy was born in Avon Park, FL on July 20, 1969. Tommy enjoyed hunting, going on a good fishing trip, and cheering for Alabama “Roll Tide Roll”. He owned and operated Burkett Brothers Roofing Company.

Tommy was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Faye Burkett; paternal grandparents, Bert and Alice Burkett; maternal grandparents, Grant and Nancy Melton.

Tommy is survived by one daughter, Kayla Bridges (Michael) of Atlanta, GA; father, Duncan Burkett (Shelia) of Samson; three brothers, Toby Burkett (Cindy) of Enterprise, Jody Burkett of enterprise, and Daniel Carroll (Victoria) of Jacksonville, NC; four sisters, Veronica Burkett Reeves (Anthony Turner) of Ponce de Leon, FL, Jessica “Nicky” Douglas of Mossy Head, FL, Jerrica Douglas Peacock of Mossy Head, FL, and Julie Williams (Charles) of Samson; niece, Laura Talbot, and many other special nieces and nephews.
