HALEBURG. . .Tommy Lee Money, passed peacefully on October 5, 2022, with his family by his side, in the Henry County Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was 73.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 7, 2022, in the Haleburg Baptist Church  with Reverend Hugh D. Kirkland, Jr. and Dr. Ray Cobb officiating.  Burial will follow in the Haleburg Cemetery The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M Friday in the church sanctuary. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

Tommy Lee was born on May 6, 1949, in Haleburg, Alabama, son of the late Bragg Comer Money, Sr. and Ruby Webb Money. He was a lifelong resident of Haleburg. Tommy Lee attended Newville High School and graduated with the class of 1967. He is married to Patricia Money and father of two boys, Nelson and Todd Money. Tommy Lee was a member of the Haleburg Baptist Church. Throughout the years, he worked in sales and as a building contractor. In earlier years, he was engaged in farming. Tommy Lee enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by a brother, Comer Money, Jr.

Surviving relatives include his wife of fifty-five years, Patricia Douglas Money, two sons, Nelson Money (Sharolette), and Todd Money (Crystal), all of Haleburg; a sister, Ruby Roberson (Earl), Shorterville; two brothers, Billy Gene Money, Longview, Texas, and Joe Money (Ophelia), Ft. Worth, Texas; eight grandchildren, Mason and Callie Rae Money, Olive Branch, MS;  Kade, Slade, Eli and Lydia Grace Money, all of Headland; Bay and Josey Money, both of Haleburg; two step-grandchildren, Madison and Paxton McKenzie of Dothan; several cousins, nieces and nephews.  

Tommy Lee always seemed to enjoy life, never met a stranger, and valued every minute he had with his family especially the children and grandchildren.
