Tonya S. White, the woman who could light up a room with her laugh and who never met a stranger, passed away unexpectedly in Brewton, Alabama, Sunday, January 21, 2024, at the age of 58. Born on August 13, 1965, in Mobile, Alabama, she embarked on her ultimate adventure, leaving a trail of laughter and love in her wake.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, January 26, 2024 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 12:00pm until the start of the service.

Tonya, known for her "Happy Go Lucky" spirit, was the life of every party and the heart of her family. She was the embodiment of honesty, and loved her family fiercely, and if you needed the shirt off her back, she’d have given it to you with a joke to keep you smiling. Her favorite catchphrase, "Hey it’s me, Tonya T, hootie hoo," could disarm the grumpiest of souls.

Tonya’s love for her dogs, Bella and Sassy, was only rivaled by her love for her family. She was the best mom, not just to her own kids but to anyone who needed one. Tonya was the embodiment of love, a gentle soul with a spirit that could never be tamed.

Tonya was preceded in death by her stepfather, B.L. Walker.

Survivors include her beloved daughter, Brooke Thomas (Joey Watkins); her favorite son, Alex Farmer (Samantha); grandsons, Maddax Sellers and Knight Sellers, were the apples of her eye, and she never missed a chance to sing their praises. Tonya was the cherished daughter of Bonnie Walker and C.H. Golden (Sally); sister, Belinda Patrick (Mark); spouse of 15 laughter-filled years, Jimmy Hardy; nieces, Nicole Young (Darryl), and Kayla Keene (Larry); nephew, Cory Patrick (Shelby Brooks); and several great nieces and nephews will carry on her legacy of humor and kindness.

Tonya’s memory will continue to inspire chuckles and acts of kindness. She was a rare gem, loving, funny, gentle, a comedian at heart who taught us all that the best things in life aren’t things at all, but moments shared with those we love. Tonya, we’ll keep the party going down here, and we know you’ll be cracking jokes in the great beyond. Hootie hoo, Tonya T, until we meet again.
