Mrs. Vicki Diane Newsom Whittle of Coffee Springs, AL passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019.  She was 57.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. David Bradshaw officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Head Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Vicki was born on December 21, 1961 in Geneva, AL to the late Albert Preston and Sudie Broxson Newsom. She was a loving wife, mother and sister. Vicki lived a life of serving others through her nursing profession and as well as being a caregiver.  She enjoyed reading and writing.  At the time of her death, she was writing her own novel. She was a faithful Christian who loved the Lord!

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son, David Lamar Hawthorne.

She is survived by her husband, Jack C. Whittle of Coffee Springs; one son, John Hawthorne of Coffee Springs; two sisters, June Meredith (Ken) of Brantley, Wanda Tice (Billy) of Sellersville; two brothers, Henry Newsom (Penny) of Tuscaloosa, Glen Newsom of Coffee Springs; and a number special nieces and nephews.
