Mrs. Vickye Spivey Bowden of Samson, AL passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021. She was 80 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Lime Springs Church with Reverend Dr. Kenneth Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday beginning at 12:00 p.m.

Mrs. Bowden was born in Geneva County, AL to the late Lawson and Essie Pridgen Spivey. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was in childcare for 30 years and owned and operated Miss Vickye’s Kids Klub.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edwin Bowden.

She is survived by her five sons, Mike Bowden (Gina) of Chancellor, Mark Bowden (Lisa) of Millbrook, AL, Alan Bowden (Tanya) of Enterprise, Paul Bowden (Anne) of Hope Hull, AL, and Chris Bowden of Samson; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
