HAINES CITY, FLORIDA. . .Virginia Chandler Sappington, a resident of Haines City, Florida, formerly of Dale County, died Saturday, July 14, 2018, in the Winter Haven Hospital in Winter Haven, Florida. She was 72.

  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 20, 2018, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Joe Kennedy and Brother Randy Chandler officiating. Burial will follow in the Midland City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the mortuary in Headland. At other times, the family will be at the home of a son, Craig Sappington, in Pinckard.

  Virginia Sappington was born and reared in in Dale County, near Midland City, daughter of the late Sam Chandler and Pearline Parker Chandler. She lived in Haines City, Florida and Midland City most of her lifetime. Virginia was preceded in death by a sister and several brothers.

  Surviving relatives include two daughters, Tammy Bustos (Amador), Clermont, FL; and Lisa Torres (Simon), Lake Wales, FL; three sons, Craig Sappington (Jennifer), Pinckard; Lynn Sappington (Brandi), Haines City, Florida; and Phillip Sappington (Candy), Lake Wales, Florida; a sister, Jeanette Key, Midland City; eighteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
