Virginia McKinnon Etheridge

Virginia Etheridge age 94 of Ashford passed away Monday evening, October 3, 2022 at Opp Health and Rehab. A funeral service will be held Friday, October 7, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Family First Funeral Care officiated by Brother Joel Waller. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. until service time.
Virginia was born August 18, 1928 in Marianna, Florida to Herbert Wesley McKinnon and Lottie Bell Jones McKinnon. She attended Chipola High School where she was chosen Key Club Sweet Heart. She lived most of her adult life in Ashford. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher, WMU Director and Bible School Teacher.
She is preceded in death by her husband Tom Etheridge; parents Herbert Wesley McKinnon and Lottie Bell Jones McKinnon; daughter Sandra Elaine Platz; brother Herbert Wesley McKinnon; sister Nell Ashcraft.
Survivors include her son Van Franklin Etheridge (Cathy); daughter Robin Conrad; grandchildren Vanna Conrad (Chris); Keely Pugh (Dustin); Samantha Jo Conrad (Michael); Candace Cline, Judson Hall, Dan Hall, Becky Knaley (John)l Danielle Bottoms, Brad Thurman, Tiffany Thurman; several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and family friends.
The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Resource Center 1314 Westgate Parkway Suite 2, Dothan, AL 36303.

The family would like to thank all of the caregivers that cared for their loved one.
