Virginia Nell "Kelley" Williams Allen passed away at the age of 80 on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at her home in Victoria Alabama after an extended illness. She was born on June 27, 1938 to the late  George Finney Williams and Vestoria Kelley Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John David Allen, and their son, Johnny LaDon Allen; Her oldest brother Douglas Williams (Debbie), her stepmother Daisy Irene Williams, and her grandparents, Mary Maggie Nora Kelley and Robert Kelley.


She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Allen Smith (Joel), her grandson Clayton "Clay" Allen Eagerton (Rebekah), grandson Jacob Tyler Smith (Morgan) and great granddaughter Camilla Claire Smith. Her surviving siblings are 2 sisters: Carolyn Williams Lott (H.L.), June Williams Smith (Courtney), 3 brothers: Fred Williams, Wyatt Williams (Sandy), and Wayne Williams (Lil). Virginia leaves a legacy of many nieces and nephews.


Virginia lived in the Victoria Community all of her life. She attended the Victoria School (which was located on the site where the current Victoria Baptist Church is located) during her early years and graduated from Elba High School. She was an active member of the Victoria Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir for many years, taught Sunday School, served as church clerk, and played the piano. She was a loving mother, grandmother and homemaker who took excellent care of her family and served others in the community using her excellent baking skills to provide many meals to the sick or those in need.


The funeral service celebrating her selfless life will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 at the Victoria Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Marler, Rev. Randy Hartley and Rev. Mack King officiating. Visitation from 1:00-2:00 and the funeral service at 2:00. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Victoria Community Cemetery where her family is buried. The family would like to express our warmest gratitude to those who have extended emotional support during this time and especially to the wonderful caregivers that took such good care of Virginia during her illness: Danleigh Stinner, Elizabeth Bryant, Joyce Gilbert, and Shelby Byers and the First Choice Hospice staff.
