            Mrs. Virginia Whigham Speigner, “Plain Granny”, of Enterprise, AL passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the family residence.  She was 78.

 

            Graveside funeral services will be at 11 am on Monday, July 16, 2012 at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Brother Charles Jones officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise directing.

 

            Mrs. Speigner was born October 28, 1933 in Enterprise, AL to the late Samuel and Annie Mae Williams Whigham.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Young and a brother, Ben Whigham.

 

            Survivors include her husband, Merril Speigner, Enterprise; daughters: Ginga Popovich (John) and Beverly Weeks; grandchildren: Sam Popovich (Tracy), Josh Popovich (Melissa), Ben Popovich, Zane Weeks and Zeb Weeks; great-grandchildren: Brayden Popovich, Lindsey Popovich and John Parker Popovich; one brother, Eddie Whigham.
