Vivian Lanell Peters, 63, of Midland City, passed away Tuesday at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4pm until 6pm Thursday.

Mrs. Peters was born November 2, 1948 in Dale County and she lived the early years of her life in Midland City. Mrs. Peters resided in Ozark for twenty years prior to moving back to Midland City in 2009. She was a homemaker and a member of Midland City Community Church.

Survivors include her husband, Lester Peters, Midland City; her sons, Dennis Peters and James Peters, Ozark; her daughters, Shelia Ledbetter, Dothan and Carolyn Rodgers, Midland City; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her brothers, Roy Langford and Dave Langford of Ozark; her sisters, Linda Devine, Susie Cummings, Diane Sanders, Barbara Giles and Janie Carter all of Ozark; several nieces and nephews.
