Voncile Smith Wells, age 94, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020, at her family home in Holmes County, FL.

She was born in Holmes County, FL on October 22, 1925 to the late Albert and Mary Smith. She worked for the shirt factories in Samson and in Panama City for several years and later retired from Sears Roebuck and Co. in Panama City with over twenty years of service. She loved to cook and was an avid gardener, but most of all she loved her family and the Lord.

She is survived by her sons, Gary (Lisa) Wells of Panama City and Phil (Hui) Wells of Tacoma, WA; grandchildren, Cammy McGregor, Jacob (Anna) Wells, Jeremy Wells, Scott (Stevie) Wells, Joe Wells, and Rachel Wells; great grandchildren, Jordan McGregor and Lennon Wells.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Tommie Wells; brother, Leabert Smith; son, Jerry Wells; grandchildren, Toshia Wells, Jason Wells, and Jaron Wells; and great-granddaughter, Meaghan Wells.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Poplar Head Community Church, Holmes County, FL, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Officiating will be Rev. Shelby Summerlin and Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing.
