Wade Chester Morrison Sr., a resident of Ozark, Alabama passed away Thursday, January 18, 2023, at his residence. He was 87 years old.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Clayton, Alabama with Chaplain Adam Mulliner officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. Mr. Morrison will lie in state at Glover Funeral Home in Dothan, Alabama on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted.

Wade was born March 26, 1936, in Louisville, Alabama to the late John Monroe and Lucille Hicks Morrison. He retired from Wiregrass Construction as a truck driver. In his spare time, he enjoyed farming, gardening, and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Tracy Morrison; four brothers, James Morrison, Paul Morrison, Jerry Morrison, and infant brother Morrison; four sisters, Ruth Holloway, Carolyn English, Betty Sutters, and Shirely Morrison.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 25 years, Loreta Ancheta Schmidt Morrison; three sons, Chester, W.C., and Monroe; three daughters, Audrey, Jean, and Raney; brother, Tom Morrison; six sisters, Merilyn Henry, Reba Bonner (Ray), Joann Bush, Marie Johnson, Pat Williams (James), and Sue Rezaio (Benny).
