Walder Terry Conner of Westville, FL passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023. He was 61 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 8, 2024, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Greg Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva, AL directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 10:00 a.m. 

Walder was born on June 25, 1962, to ZY Conner and Gloria Joyce Clemmons Johnson. Walder was someone with many different talents. He loved fishing and was a very talented and remarkable artist. He also enjoyed carving and whittling monkeys out of peach seeds and once carved an entire chess set out of ivory soap pieces. He could also make arrow heads out of stone and glass. Along with his other talents he was an outstanding cook and chef. He could turn apples into swans and potatoes into roses. Walder could accomplish anything he set his mind to do. 

Along with his high school diploma, he achieved his certified certificates in culinary, horticulture, heating and cooling.

 He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Perry and Cora Lee Grantham Conner; maternal grandparents, Gordon and Elizabeth Sullivan Clemmons.

He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Pat Richardson Conner of Westville, FL; father, ZY Conner (Iris Cooper) of Caryville, FL; mother, Joyce Johnson (Paul Yates) of Westville, FL; children, Nikki Hensley of Gainesboro, TN, April Daniels (Fred) of Pleasant Shade, TN, Brittney Conner of Crossville, TN, Elijah Conner of Crossville, TN, Sarah Glass (Dug) of Arlington, TX, Ayla Strickland of South Korea, Terry Conner of Lawton, OK, one step son, Tyler Smith (Mechella) of Hartford, AL; siblings, Jamie Conner (Kim) of Westville, FL, Vikki Scott (Johnny) of Westville, FL, and Kevin Conner (Tawnie) of Madison, IN; 11 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren; and a host of special nieces and nephews.
