Walter Raybon Lunsford, of Hartford, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at his residence. He was 84 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Highfalls Assembly of God Church with Rev. Johnny Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery with Jimmy Bottoms of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 12:30 p.m. until service time.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Frank and Annie Bell Martin Lunsford and one sister, Glenda Manual.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Lunsford of Hartford; two daughters, Donna Faye Veger (Mike) of Indiana and Sharion Bowden (Tony) of Hartford; one son, Frank Lunsford (Lisa) of Hartford; six grandsons; three granddaughters; fifteen great grandchildren; one sister, Betty Jean Termaine of Melbourne, Florida; two brothers, Horace Wayne Lunsford (Sharon) of Mobile and Steve Lunsford of Mobile; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Serving as pallbearers: Ryan Lunsford, Dewayne Peters, Chris Lunsford, Shawn Copeland, Tyler Hobbs, Gene Schmidt
