Mrs. Wanda Jean Jarrell of Dothan passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021, at the age of 79.

Wanda was born on November 13, 1942, to the late Charles and Mamie Peoples in Eclectic, Alabama. She loved to spend time gardening, but most importantly, she loved her family.  She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Christine Nelson, and sister-in-law, Martha Gantt.

Survivors include husband, Bennie Jarrell; daughters, Chris Saulters (Mike) and Kathy Metcalf (Daniel); sons, George Jarrell and Jody Jarrell (Beverly); brothers, Buddy Peoples (Helene) and Tommy Peoples (Jean); 7 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 9 AM Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan Klobe officiating, burial will take place at 1:30 PM in Tallassee, AL at Rose Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.
