Waylon "Hop" Nelson age 78, a resident of Elba, Alabama passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021 at his home. Graveside services will be held at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev. Elbert Smith officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Hayes Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM.

He leaves behind Sister - Janie (Phillip) Nelson Little, Troy, AL, Brother - James (Glenda) Nelson, Elba, AL, along with numerous other family members and friends.

Waylon was preceded in death by his parents, Euna Mae and Philly Hollie Nelson, along with siblings, Archie, Jerry, Durwood, Amy, Joan, and Janice.
