OZARK…. Mr. Wayne Battles, a resident of Ozark, died late Thursday afternoon, February 27, 2020 in Dale Medical Center. He was 83.

            Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 3, 2020 in Crestwood Cemetery, Gadsden, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 11:45 until 12:45 P.M. Tuesday at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home in Gadsden. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

            Mr. Battles, son of the late Norman Battles and Doris Lancaster Battles, was a native of Etowah County. He moved to Mobile in 1967 and to Ozark in 2016. Mr. Battles was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Battles.

            Surviving relatives include his son, Eddie Battles (Maryna), Ozark; two sisters, Jean Pritchett and Frances Pearson (Don), both of Hokes Bluff; three grandchildren, Christy Battles, William Battles, and Anna Battles.
