CAPPS COMMUNITY.…Wayne C. Wilson, a resident of the Capps Community of Henry County, Alabama, passed away Tuesday evening, February 16, 2021, at his home. He was 64.


            Funeral services will be held 4:00 P.M. Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel, with Pastor Clyde Hancock and Pastor Cecil Condrey officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. Saturday before the service. Wright Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.


            Mr. Wilson was born in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Charles Victor Wilson and Lois Lake Wilson. Before becoming disabled, he worked hard as a logger in the forestry industry. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church near Eufaula, Alabama. He loved his family passionately.


            Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife of thirty-nine years, Carolyn Davis Wilson; his sons, David Brackins and Charles Davis, both of Headland, AL; his sister, Wanda Wilson of Boston, Massachusetts; his grandson, Blake Brackins (Rachel Harding) of Headland, AL; his special grandchildren, Jeremiah Peters and Braxton Peters; his loving dog, Shorty.
