     Mr. Wayne Jerome Tiner, 73, of 319 Ruth Circle, Cowarts, Al. 36321, died early Tuesday afternoon, February 10, 2015, at his residence. The funeral will be held Friday, February 13, 2015 at 2 PM EST in the Chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home with burial to follow in the  Pine Lawn Gardens Cemetery. Rev. Scotty Hatcher will be officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening at the funeral home from 7 until 9 PM EST. Pallbearers will be Jim Jackson, Jimmy Jackson, Jason Jackson, Kenneth Tiner, Jerry Tiner and Steve Tiner.


Wayne was born November 25, 1941 in Baker County, Ga. to the late James Keaton Tiner and Mittie Johnson Tiner. He was retired from Georgia Pacific Paper Mill after many years as a Power House Operator. He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Cowarts. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Lynn Tiner and a brother, James Walter Tiner, Sr.


His survivors include his wife Janice "Jan" Gruber Tiner of Cowarts, Al., a daughter, Lisa Jackson and Jim also of Cowarts; 2 step-daughters: Cheryl Parrish of Taylor, Al. and Tracy Schmidt of Dothan, Al. and a step-son: David Rose and Gina of Marietta, Ga. He has 3 brothers: Kenneth Tiner and Linda and Jerry Tiner and Sheila, all of Blakely, Ga.,  Steve Tiner and Pam of Shreveport, La. and a sister-in-law, Mary Tiner of Bossier City, La. There are also seven grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
