WESLEY DREX BROWN

ABBEVILLE, AL… Wesley Drex Brown, a resident of the Henry County Health & Rehabilitation of Abbeville, Alabama, passed away early Monday morning, October 16, 2023. He was 65.

          Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Abbeville Memorial East with Reverend Greg Brown and Reverend Chris Brown officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

          The family is accepting flowers or contributions may be made to the Abbeville Fire & Rescue, 201 Bradley Street, Abbeville, Alabama 36310.

          Mr. Brown was born in Ft. Gaines, Georgia to William Wesley Brown and the late Patricia Louise Weaver Brown. He was raised in Abbeville, Alabama. He was a 1977 Graduate of Abbeville Christian Academy. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in road work construction, until his medical retirement.

          Along with his mother he was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Doris Brown; and his brother-in-law, Fred Bauman.

          Leaving to cherish his memories are his father, William Wesley Brown; his sister, Lisa Carol Bauman; his brothers, Gregory Dean Brown (Anita), William Kyle Brown (Valerie), and Christopher Scott Brown (Lisa); and his several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
