W.G. “Bill” Bauman, Jr of Dothan passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019 at his home. He was 55 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2019 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Jerry Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Ida Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Bill was born in Dothan, AL on May 25, 1964 to Willie Gene “Bill” and Ailene Faye Motley Bauman, Sr. Bill was a Charter member and served on the board of directors as Vice President of South Wind Drum and Bugle Corps. He graduated from Geneva High School Class of 1982. He also graduated from Jacksonville State University where he was a member of the Phi Mu Alpha fraternity. He was currently employed with the US Army Combat Readiness Center at Ft. Rucker, AL as a multimedia specialist. He devoted 27 years of service to his country through the Federal Government. He was a loving father, son, and brother.

He is survived by one son, Skylar Bauman of Dothan; father and mother, Bill and Faye Bauman of Geneva; one sister, Anissa Renee Bauman of Dothan; and his faithful pug, Thomas.
