Wiley Douglas Mock of Samson, Alabama passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the family residence. He was 67.


 


Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Sorrells Funeral Home chapel in Geneva with Sis. Wynese Lolley and Bro. Donnie Earles officiating. Burial will follow in the Marvin Chapel Assembly of God cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 until 8pm.


 


Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Weeks Memorial Assembly of God Building Fund, 152 Roundabout Rd. Samson AL, 36477


 


Doug was born June 19, 1945 in Geneva Co. to the late Marion Dallas and Ruby Blondell Pridgen Mock. He was a member of Weeks Memorial Assembly of God Church. Doug was an avid hunter, fisherman, and farmer. He loved spending time with family and friends. To his loved ones he was a great teacher of life’s lessons. In addition to his parents, one brother Johnny Mock; sister-in-law Janice Mock; two brothers in law: Verlon Wambles and Shelley Speller and nephew; Andy Speller preceded him in death.


 


Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Jean Mock, Samson, AL; one son, Cecil Mock (Tina), one grandson, Brandon Anthony  Mock both of Samson, AL; six sisters; Frances Wambles, Ino, AL, Virginia (Douglas) Weeks, Lowery AL, Mary Speller, Enterprise AL, Debra Nunn (Jeff), Kinston AL, Cindy Motteler (Scott), Lowery, AL, Susan Kelley (Tony), Dothan; six brothers: Billy Mock, Mobile, AL, Jimmy Mock, Samson, AL, Emmett Mock (Deb), Freeport FL, Robert Earl Mock (Nadine), Samson, AL Randy Mock (Diana), Kinston AL and Dennis Mock (Wendy), Samson, AL; one sister-in-law, Annette Mock, Enterprise, AL; special nieces and nephews, bros and sister-in-laws and extended family and friends.
