DOTHAN. . .William Cleveland Bryan, a resident of Dothan, died early Wednesday morning, November 30, 2022, at his home. He was 86.

A private funeral service for the family was held Friday, December 2, 2022, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with eulogies given by Steve Anderson and friends and closing prayer by Pastor Adam Mulliner. Burial followed in the Union Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, near  Newville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 368 James Street, Ozark, AL 36360.

Mr. Bryan was born and raised in Barbour County, near Blue Springs, son of the late W. G. Bryan and Berline Shipes Bryan. He was a graduate of Blue Springs High School and served his country in the Air National Guard in the Dothan unit. He lived in Dothan most of his adult lifetime where he was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Bryan founded Bryan Enterprises, Bryan-Holloway Flooring in Dothan, and also C. Bryan Interiors. In earlier years, he was employed by Sears in commercial sales. Mr. Bryan was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Ward and Carolyn Linton, and two brothers, Charles and Reverend Billy Bryan.

Surviving relatives include his wife, JoAnn Walker Bryan, a daughter, Beverly Still (Steve), Dothan; a brother, Hardy Bryan (Elaine), Eufaula; a brother-in-law, James E. Ward, Sr., Blue Springs; also leaving behind a treasured friend, Jack Hyatt (Captain, USMC, Retired).

The family would like to express their appreciation to Jennifer Taylor of Community Hospice and also caregiver, Sylvia Trejo, for the loving care and kindness shown to Mr. Bryan during his illness.
