EUFAULA. . .William Earl “Billy” Starling, a resident of Eufaula (Baker Hill Community), died Monday morning, November 8, 2021, in a Dothan hospital. He was 88.       


   Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 12, 2021, in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, near Grimes, with Brother Nicholas Martin officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.


   Mr. Starling was born in Barbour County and was reared in Houston County, son the late William Bill Starling and Osie Lee Starling. He moved to the Baker Hill Community in 1987. Mr. Starling was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, near Grimes. He was a retired employee of Mead Coated Board of Cottonton, AL. Mr. Starling was preceded in death by his wife, Melba Anne Woodham Starling, two sisters, Doris Harp and Gladys Brown, two brothers, Royce Starling and A. R. “Chick” Starling and his son-in-law, Jimmy Martin.


   Surviving relatives include a daughter, Barbara Martin, Baker Hill, AL; five sons, William “Bill” Starling (Donna), Georgetown, GA; James “Jimmy” Starling (Charlene), Eufaula; David Starling (Tina), Baker Hill, AL; Tommy Starling, Baker Hill, AL; and Paul Starling (Edyth), Montgomery; a sister, Irma Ready, Kinsey, AL; a brother, Homer Starling (Janice), Midland City; nineteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
