William Elton McDonald of Westville, FL passed away Friday, October 23, 2020 at Wiregrass Nursing Home in Geneva, AL. He was 82 years old.

Elton was born November 6, 1937 in Black, AL to Hubert Sylvester and Essie Rubean Jordan McDonald. He was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 60 years, Mary Sheralyn Grice McDonald; one son, William Elton McDonald, Jr. and one sister, Tommie Sue McDonald Outlaw.

Survivors include one daughter, Sandra McDonald Pope and husband Jeffery; one son, Gregory Scott McDonald; four grandchildren, Jeffery Kyle Pope, Kassandra Pope Day and husband Billy, William Bradly McDonald and wife Heather and Megan McDonald Forehand and husband Matthew; six great-grandchildren, Makayla and Cielo Day, Naomi and Isaac Esparza, A.J. Forehand, Seanna Sheppard, with one more, Alex McDonald due next month; two brothers, Luveral McDonald and wife Ann and Harold McDonald and wife Virginia; one sister, Hazel Garner and husband Joe, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 26, 2020 at Mt. Olive Assembly of God Church, Westville, FL, with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will be in the church cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva, AL directing.
