Mr. William Franklin “Bill” Jacobs of Geneva, Alabama passed away on Saturday, May 09, 2020 at his residence. He was 89 years old.

Private family graveside services will be held on Monday, May 11, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Chip Oakley officiating and Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing.

Mr. Jacobs was born on January 06, 1931 in Geneva, AL to the late Porter T. and Emma Sheffield Jacobs. He worked at Ft. Rucker for a number of years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and a good meal with his family. Mr. Bill was a faithful member of Westside United Methodist Church in Geneva. He truly enjoyed going to church and having fellowship with his church family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Helen Jacobs.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Dixon Jacobs of Geneva; three step-children, Judy Mixon (Junior), Hobie Dixon (Sheila) and Tommy Dixon (Sherri) all of Geneva, AL; one sister, Clara Lou Lolley (Randall); two nieces, Pam Frey (Mike) and Charlotte Murphy (Pat); two great nieces, Kelly Strong, and Kaitlin Driver; one great- great nephew, Jacob Strong; and several special grandchildren  and great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Day Springs Hospice for their devoted love and care that they provided for Mr. Bill.
