William Frank Boyd, 85, of Cowarts, AL. passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, June 30, 2019. He was born on October 12, 1933 in Early County, Georgia to the late Charlie Boyd and Hattie Boyd (Miller).

Funeral service with full military honors will be 2 PM, on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory with Chaplain Doug Schumate and Pastor Josh Alderman officiating.

William was retired from the United States Air Force and from the Houston County Road and Bridge Department.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by brothers: James, Shelley, Rossel, Stancil, and  Charles Boyd: sisters: Lizzie Mouring, Lillian Garrett, and Alyne Mitchell and stepson; Ricky Cox.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years: Geraldine Boyd, son: Andy (Lisa) Boyd, daughter: Pheobe, stepson: Wilburn Cox, daughter-in-law: Patty, grandson: Jason (Justin) Cox, great-grandson: Henry Cox, sister: Betty (Dick) Dempsey and several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The family wishes to thank Encompass Hospice staff: Teressia, Mandy, and Ashley.
