William Joseph Payne of Enterprise, AL passed away, Friday, December 8, 2023 at Hartford Health Care in Hartford, AL.  He was 76.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Christ The King Lutheran Church with Rev. James Endrihs officiating.  

William was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Faye Payne, parents-in- law, Theron and Thelma Turner.  

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Brenda Payne, Enterprise, AL; two daughters; Trina Kay Smith (James) Sherman, TX, Melanie Denise Payne, Albany, GA; two sons, Donald Paul Messerly (Alice) Las Vegas, NV, William J. Payne Jr., Albany, GA; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Lee Payne (Candy) SC; sister; Teresa Chapman (Bill), Albany, GA
