William Singletary Hart, a lifetime resident of Dothan, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023, at Flowers Hospital. He was 74 last Friday.

Memorial services to celebrate his life will be held 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David R. Saliba officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing.

In lieu in flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wiregrass Spay and Neuter Alliance, 504 S. Foster Street, Dothan, AL, 36301.

Mr. Hart was born July 14, 1949 in Dothan to Lamar and Celeste Hart. He was a 1967 graduate of Dothan High School and later attended Troy University. On August 25, 1973, he married Bonny Haughton and they established their home on Skipper Road where they lived for 46 years.  Mr. Hart was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather and he will be dearly missed.  He was a longtime member of FISH Golf Group.  He owned and operated with his wife Harts and Flowers Florist for the past 46 years.

He is predeceased by his parents, a brother, Michael Hart, a brother-in-law, Jim Colley, and a sister-in-law, Susan Hart.

He is survived by his wife, Bonny Hart, and son Davis Hart (Daphne); brothers Dr. Kirby Lamar Hart, Jr., Gary Owens Hart (Rhonda) and sister Celeste Hart Martin (Marty); sisters-in-law Patsy Colley, Ginny Reese (Robert); grandchildren, Reeves Benefield and Katie Benefield; nieces and nephews, John Eiland (Nina), Kirby Hart (Allison), Daniel Hart (Elizabeth), Katie DeJong (Ike), Hillary Hart Dunham (Jason), Hayden Hart Morris (Chris), Candace Goodwin (Jim), Tricia C. King (Colin), Cathy Colley, Kelly P. Kingsland (Justin), and Davis Picklesimer.
