Mr. William Steve Barton of Geneva, Alabama passed away Monday, December 28, 2015.  He was 75.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2015, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Connel officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Florala with Warren Holloway Ward directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 5 until 7 p.m.

Mr. Barton was born January 23, 1940, in Florala, Alabama to the late Marvin Stephen and Mildred Phenny McVay Barton.  He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U. S. Army for nine years.  For several years he was co-owner and operator of the Downtown Geneva Antiques. He was a very tender hearted person and always saw the best in everyone.  He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

In addition to his parents, a brother, Randell Barton and two sisters: Clara Jordon and Tina McClellan all preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Vonda Bass Barton of Geneva; children: Monica Walker of Shelby, AL, Stephen Christopher Parmer (Lynda Bunnell) of Geneva, Stephanie Carol Sconiers (Dean) of Bonifay, Marvin Stephen Barton, II (Rose) of Ingleside, TX; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Bobby Barton; four sisters: Rita and Rose Wilkerson, Twyla and Mona Barton; several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
