WILLIE MACK CULP


TUMBLETON, AL.…Willie Mack Culp, a resident of the Tumbleton Community near Headland, AL, passed away Saturday morning, August 29, 2020, at his home. He was 78.


            Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 31, 2020 at the Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with his son, Brother Ashley Culp and Reverend Joey Pettis officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory.


            In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made in his honor, to the Trinity Free Will Baptist Camp, 1835 County Hwy 3   Guin,  Alabama  35563.


            Mr. Culp was born in the Tumbleton Community of Henry County near Headland, AL, to the late Henry Belton Culp and Inez White Culp. Mack was a 1960 Graduate of Newville High School. He served his country in the Army National Guard. He was a member of the New Zion Free Will Baptist Church in Tumbleton, AL. He was a very proud member of the Henry County Rescue Unit. He enjoyed gardening and sharing the fruits of his labor, with friends and family. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandkids.


            Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Hugh Culp, and Rex Culp; and also a nephew, Dennis Culp.


            Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife, Fay McLain Culp; his sons, Chris we Culp (Kecia) of Headland, AL and Ashley Culp (Niki) of Guin, AL; and his beloved grandchildren, Emma Culp, Erin Culp, Harrison Culp, Judson Culp, and Sawyer Culp; his brother-in-law, Jim McLain (Linda); his sister-in-law, JoAnn Culp; and several nephews.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Chris Culp, Ashley Culp, Donnie Culp, David Culp, Roy Dean Smith, and Kirby Shelley. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be members of the Henry County Rescue Unit and Jim McLain.


            The family would like to thank Kindred Hospice and Palliative Care for their compassionate and loving care through this time.
