Mr. Wilmer Newton “Buddy” Day Jr. of Daleville, AL passed away on September 8, 2020. He was 64.

 A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 11, 2020 from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 2346 W. Main St. Ste 3, Dothan, AL 36301.

 Buddy was born on November 10, 1955 in Phenix City, AL to the late Wilmer Newton Day, Sr, and Dorothy Ozell Russell Day. Buddy spent most of his life as a carpenter and working in all types of construction. He loved coon hunting, fishing, being on the river, and spending time with family and friends.

 

He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Heather Anderson (Stephen) of Samson; three grandchildren, Adriana Day of Hartford, Talena and Payton Anderson both of Samson, one great-granddaughter on the way, Emma Bateman;  his companion, Cindy Day of Dothan; sister and brother-in-law, Darlene Maloy (Daniel) of Enterprise; two brothers, Jack Day (Charlotte) and Rob Day both of Opp, and a number of special nieces and nephews.
