Wylene Grimes Howerton of Coffee Springs, AL passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. She was 75 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2021, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Howard Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Travelers Rest Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 25, 2021, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Howerton was born in Geneva County, AL to the late Cecil S. And Merlin Spears Grimes. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them, especially when they would travel to Walt Disney World. She also enjoyed playing a good game of bowling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Louis “Bill’ Howerton; and one sister, Sandra Grimes.

She is survived by three children, Kelley Howerton Stedman of Enterprise, AL, Michael Howerton (Cindy) of Elba, and Kathy Hill (Bobby) of DeFuniak Springs, FL; eight grandchildren, Scotty Howerton (Brittany), Sarah Brazier Smith (Aaron), Andrew Stedman, Ryan Stedman, William Michael Howerton, II, Melinda Mock (Justin), Pollianna Downing, and Jacob Hill; nine great grandchildren, Payton Howerton, John Parker Howerton, Madison Smith, Mason Smith, Clayton Smith, Aubrey Mock, Aleigh Mock, Ashley William Mock, and Grayson Wagner; one sister, Beverly Balish (Rick) of Dearborn Heights, MI.
