ABBEVILLE. . .Yvonne Denny Harris, a resident Abbeville, died early Tuesday morning, January 18, 2022, at her home. She was 82.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 20, 2022, in the Lakeside Christian Fellowship with Reverend Mickey Skinner and Reverend Clyde Hancock, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Thursday in the church sanctuary. Social distancing and mask guidelines will be observed.

Mrs. Harris was born and reared in Miami, Florida, daughter of the late William Denny and Louise Thompson Denny. She was a graduate of Edison High School in Miami. Mrs. Harris was a member of the Lakeside Christian Fellowship. She lived in Lineville, Alabama before moving to the Screamer Community in 1976. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Solomon Harris, Jr., a brother, Roy Denny, a daughter-in-law, Patricia Lightbourne and a sister-in-law, Janet Denny.

 Surviving relatives include a daughter, Paula Enfinger (Johnny), Abbeville; two sons, Charles Lightbourne, Leesburg, FL; and Ray Lightbourne (Freda), Branford, FL; a brother, Charles Denny, Burlington, NC; grandchildren, Chris Lambert (Stephanie), Charlie Brown Lightbourne (Cheryl), Stevie Lightbourne (Jamie), Lauren Harrison (Terry), Kenny Ray Lightbourne and Nikkie Faulk, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including two special nephews, Hank and Chad Walker.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Austin Lambert, Chris Lambert, Charlie Brown Lightbourne, Tristan Edwards, Wayne Cost, Stevie Lightbourne and Bob Furniss.

The family would like to thank all the friends that “Mom” had in her life. She loved and appreciated every one of them.
